Common Requests We Cannot Accommodate
Period Delay Requests
Unfortunately we are unable to provide medication to prolong periods for holidays on the NHS unless it is due to an underlying medical condition.
This service is available from local pharmacies at a fee.

Request for Sedation to assist with procedures
Unfortunately we won't be able to prescribe any anti-anxiety medication before your procedure.
If you are anxious or concerned, it may be helpful to let the team arranging the procedure know so that they can make allowances for this, to make it as comfortable as possible for you, and if they decide it to be appropriate, to prescribe medication to assist you through the procedure.
Fear of Flying
Unfortunately we do not prescribe medication for fear of flying. The medication that is often asked for is Diazepam and as it is a sedative, if there was an emergency on the flight it could impair your judgement. I appreciate that this fear is very real and frightening.
