Dr David Gilliland completed his medical school training at the University of Manchester, then completed his postgraduate foundation training and GP training in Tameside and Glossop. He first worked at Lambgates in 2016 for a brief stint as a foundation doctor and then returned as a GP registrar in 2020. After completing training in 2021 he joined the Lambgates team permantently and subsequently became a GP partner alongside Dr Ahmed in Summer 2022.  He takes an interest in musculoskeletal medicine and runs minor surgery joint injection clinics on thursday mornings. David is a supervisor of medical students and foundation doctors and has a passion for education. 

In his spare time, David enjoys running, cycling and playing tag rugby. He is a keen supporter of the Ulster and Ireland rugby union teams
